An epic tale a decade in the making…

Manifester - The Animation is a passion project from the mind of Brian A. Prince. It was always intended to be told as an animated epic. Your help will be how we achieve that dream.

While avoiding his own problems, GARAG, a courier with toxic positivity and a hidden destructive power, attempts to help an introverted young musician named KOBU track down his missing father. They set off on an adventure to distant lands meeting friends, foes, and finding the truths they’ve been hiding from themselves.

At its heart, Manifester is a story about healing, forgiveness, and finding family.

Characters

Manifesters

Manifesters are commonly seen as mythical ancient humans who wielded the power of Bloomstones. It’s now universally believed that the power they wielded was evil and resulted in the destruction of the world. Manifesters have faded into myth in the ensuing centuries, but there are some who believe and some who seek to reclaim that ancient power…

The World

Manifester takes place in a fictional world where humanity exists at a relatively low level of technology, though there are remnants of a technological past sprinkled throughout the world. Our adventure begins on the island of Giorgio and continues to various sea islands and eventually The Mainland. In this world, humanity has learned to live with nature, and that natural world is prevalent everywhere you look.

A mysterious disease has gripped the world, and amongst almost every culture you’ll find people suffering from a disease known as The Wilting. It’s a terminal illness and there is no known cure. The Wilting has had an enormous influence on cultural development in this world.

Though the cultures in this world are fictional, they are inspired by real cultures. We want to celebrate the diversity of humanity with our story, but in a genuine and organic way. Manifester gives representation to African, Middle Eastern, and South Asian inspired characters within a story that doesn’t revolve around their ethnicity. Representation in fictional media plays a huge role in shaping someone’s perceptions of different cultures as well as their own place in society.
